Photo of the Day: Melbourne Skyline From the Tasmanian Ferry

I took this photos as the ferry to Tasmania pulled out of Melbourne. Its unusual – not only was the morning completely calm, but most of the ferry’s sailings are overnight. I really liked how the just rising sun managed to highlight the older buildings along St Kilda Road on the waterfront, while the more distant CBD is naturally washed out.

    What a beautiful picture overlooking Melbourne from the Spirit of Tasmania. I’ts a great trip over to Devonport for anyone wanting to travel to Tasmania for their next holiday.
