Angkor Wat Photos

I have so many photos buried on my hard drive. Here are some of the better ones from Angkor Wat in January 2006. The place is so huge you will always hit some parts of the complex in the middle of the day when the light for photography is rubbish. I found the level of detail in the sculptures incredible

  1. Love your photos. I am planning a trip to Cambodia in 2011, perhaps in October/November. How long did you spend at Angkor Wat??? Is three days enough??? What time of year were yu there and how was the temperture.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

    1. I was there in late Jan – though I don’t think the temp varies much – its an hot and exposed site – you certainly won’t be walking between sites. We were there for 3 days – which was enough for us – but I’ve seen tour groups spend as little as 1/2 day there and you easily spend a week there and not see it all – also I liked the little town to hang out in, and our hotel had a lovely pool! It depends on your fascination for old rocks but I think 3 days is a fair allocation of time. Also unless you are flying in/out factor in that travelling in Cambodia is interesting but not fast or relaxing LOL
